South East firms tap into Tomlinson Hall’s pump experience

A Kent-based bottling plant and a London brewery have drawn on the expertise of Tomlinson Hall & Co Ltd to shape and enhance their pump systems.

We have brought our pump experience to bear for South East Bottling, a beer bottling and packaging company headquartered in Broadstairs, East Kent and Sambrook's Brewery, which has a site in Battersea.

Tomlinson Hall has specified and supplied South East Bottling – which was founded by Sambrook's Brewery, Westerham Brewing Co and The Ramsgate Brewery – with DEPA DL25 SUV G-G air operated diaphragm pumps. The pump model was specified by Tomlinson Hall because of its polished stainless steel, hygienic finish, and FDA-certified elastomers, and ability to gently handle yeast – an important factor in ensuring beer quality is maintained in the bottling process.

And Tomlinson Hall has also provided Sambrook's Brewery with DEPA DL40 SLV G-G pumps to support its production process, following a successful trial period which saw the brewery test a pump supplied by the Billingham firm for three months.

The DEPA DL25 SUV G-G and DL40 SLV G-G pumps are manufactured by CRANE Chempharma Flow Solutions, for which Tomlinson Hall is the sole UK distributor.

Tomlinson Hall also recently assisted South East Bottling – which specialises in the provision of bespoke bottling services to the craft brewing sector – in addressing a problem that was affecting its processes. South East Bottling identified that oxygen was being drawn into a pipe system, which could adversely affect the quality of the beer: Tomlinson Hall was able to identify the cause of the fault and provided a solution which enabled the bottling plant to maintain its production and quality levels.

Tomlinson Hall is supporting South East Bottling's pump operations on an on-going basis, providing specification, consultancy, training, servicing and maintenance services.
