Golf day success for Tomlinson Hall

September 27th 2017

Tomlinson Hall took top spot in this year’s NEPIC Annual Corporate Golf Tournament, held on September 7 at Slaley Hall in Northumberland. Our D team – one of four teams playing under the Tomlinson Hall banner this year – won first place on the Priestman Course and were also named as overall 2017 champions, with the highest number of Stableford points achieved on both courses used on the day.

The winning team featured Colin Simpson of Tomlinson Hall, Magnus Gustavson of Lyma Kemiteknik AB, Simon Smart of Grundfos and Gary Fish of Haden Freeman.

Playing in our A team on the Hunting course were Johnny Gray of Fluid Water Solutions, David Lindsay of CRANE ChemPharma & Energy, Dan Brookbanks of Tata Steel and Eddie Hyde of Advanced Vehicle Leasing, while our B team, also competing on the Hunting course, included Tony Sedgewick of Stockton Council, Ian Flounders of Tata Steel, David Slane of HSBC and Derek Clarkson of Chemoxy.

Playing in our C team on the Priestman course were Ian Price of Tomlinson Hall, Chris Brigham from Yorkshire Water, Ian Phillips of Chemoxy and Andrew Savoury from Slaley Hall Golf Club.

In addition to competing in the event, Tomlinson Hall was proud to sponsor this year’s NEPIC Annual Corporate Golf Tournament, which attracted representatives from regional, national and international companies.

Colin Simpson, business development director of Tomlinson Hall, said: “The day was a fantastic success and I’d like to thank all of our colleagues and friends from the business community for taking part – many of whom travelled from far and wide to play at the event.

“We were delighted to have taken first place on the Priestman Course and to be the Overall Team Winners on the day, especially given the high standard of golfing talent the event attracts.

“We were also very proud to have sponsored the NEPIC Annual Corporate Golf Tournament, which is a real highlight in the process industry’s calendar and we’d like to thank the NEPIC team for their hard work in once again organising an outstanding event.”
