Established in 1941 and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 2009, the British Pump Manufacturers’ Association Limited is a not-for-profit trade association representing the interests of UK and Irish suppliers of liquid pumps and pumping equipment. They play a vital role in promoting excellence and collaboration across the industry.
BPMA Mission
To influence the BPMA business environment in the interests of members’ competitiveness and sustainability, while increasing sector awareness by providing technical support and pump technology training to members, operators, and purchasers of pumping equipment.

The BPMA is also a member of the European Association of Pump Manufacturers (Europump), further enhancing its reach and technical influence across the continent.
BPMA members account for approximately 85% of the £1 billion-plus UK market for pumps. Additionally, the UK pump sector is a net exporter, contributing to both domestic growth and international competitiveness.
Membership is open to companies of all sizes involved in liquid pumping equipment, including leading manufacturers, service providers, and technical suppliers. It offers a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the latest advancements in the field.
