Tomlinson Hall & Co win top award for fourth time

Tomlinson Hall & Co is continuing its progress by being named as Britain’s pump distributor of the year for the fourth time.

Billingham-based Tomlinson Hall & Co is continuing its progress by being named as Britain’s pump distributor of the year for the fourth time in this year’s prestigious pump industry awards.

The PIAs are the ‘Oscars’ of the pump industry with over 250 guests from both the UK and overseas attending the gala dinner. For Tomlinson Hall, the distributor of the year award comes after winning the same title in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Colin Simpson, business development director of Tomlinson Hall, said: “To win the distributor of the year award once is a great honour, but to win it four times is truly spectacular and a boost to us all having been judged by our peers in the industry. It was a terrific evening which we would have enjoyed with our guests whether we’d won anything or not, but the award obviously made it even more enjoyable, not only for ourselves and all our staff, but also for our clients and customers”

TV presenter Helen Fospero, alongside British Pump Manufacturers’ Association (BPMA) chairman Andy Ratcliffe, announced the Billingham-based company’s success at the award ceremony.

Tomlinson Hall Ltd was established as a general engineering company and has now grown into a specialist manufacturer and distributor for pumps, power transmission equipment and engineering supplies employing some 23 staff.

The company manufacture their own range of Liquivac pumps in addition to acting as UK distributors for a variety of both UK and overseas manufacturers.
