Colin Simpson Recognised as Export Champion for Third Year

Our Business Development Director, Colin Simpson, has once again been awarded the title of Northern Powerhouse Export Champion 2020 for a third consecutive year.

The scheme, devised by the UK governments Department of International Trade (DIT), promotes businesses across the country to think globally.

With a strong export division at Tomlinson Hall, Colin, along with fellow Export Champions, takes great pride in sharing our success stories and offering practical advice, based on real experience, to help other companies in the North East to see the value in exporting and the best routes to do so.

Speaking about the accolade, Colin said: “We are absolutely delighted that I have once again been awarded this title representing Tomlinson Hall. The company is a great example in the region of a company that is excelling at export and, as such, it is great to have a platform with a scheme such as this, where we are able to share our experiences. It also gives us great insight into best practices other companies are successfully implementing, allowing us to also evolve our export offering to continue to be the very best we can.

As a Northern Powerhouse Champion, Colin works alongside the DIT’s regional teams in the North-West, North-East and Yorkshire and Humberside. Regularly attending key events, Colin joins other recognised champions from leading businesses in the area including Avison Young, Haith’s, Blue Kangaroo Design, Precision Devices and Hydraulics Online.
