Pump expertise takes centre stage at NEPIC event

December 22nd 2016

Improving pump efficiency and maximising energy savings were the hot topics last month at our highly successful joint event with the North East of England Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC).

Members and guests of NEPIC were able to learn about reducing energy consumption, improving pump efficiency and exploring new technology at the Optimising Pump Use In The Process Industry event, held on November 10 at Grundfos Manufacturing in Sunderland.

Pump experts from Tomlinson Hall, Grundfos and CRANE ChemPharma Energy gave practical tips on pump use, shared their in-depth product knowledge and examined future challenges and opportunities.

Guests were also able to take a factory tour at the Grundfos site and network with fellow delegates.

Colin Simpson, business development director of Tomlinson Hall, said: "We have worked with the North East Process Industry Cluster for many years and sharing best practice and expertise with fellow NEPIC members is a hugely important part of Tomlinson Hall's commitment to the organisation.

"We were therefore delighted to work with NEPIC, Grundfos and CRANE ChemPharma Energy to help NEPIC members and their guests understand more about pump system efficiency, energy cost reduction and innovative pump technology. There's a high level of pump engineering expertise and technical know-how available on NEPIC members' doorsteps here in the North East and I hope this event helped to open delegates' eyes to new opportunities.

"The event was very well received and we'd like to thank NEPIC, Grundfos and CRANE ChemPharma Energy for helping to make it happen."
