Tomlinson Hall Engages in Corporate Fundraising Event

As part of our ongoing CSR commitments, our Business Development Director, Colin Simpson, has this week attended an event held by the official Charity of County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust designed to encourage support in their latest MRI Scanner Appeal. 

As the first corporate event held by the Trust - which has been set up to raise £2.5m for two new scanners for the Darlington and Bishop Auckland hospitals – it provided an opportunity for Tomlinson Hall to find out more about this great cause in our region, whilst also meet with business leaders and innovators.

The new scanners will provide greatly improved images which will ultimately lead to a better experience for patients. Unlike x-rays, the MRI scanners do not use radiation and are enormously helpful in diagnosing cancer, heart conditions, strokes and many other health issues which will play a pivotal role in the hospital’s future. 

At the event a guest speaker – Ian Wright of the Disruptive Innovative Network – provided a talk on ‘Disruptive Innovation in Your Business’, which Colin noted was tremendous and very inspiring.

Supporting local causes and giving back to the community is of great importance to Tomlinson Hall and, as such we will be continuing to support the Trusts activities.
